The existence of plankton, the basic organisms in the marine food chain, is also affected by changes in temperature and salinity. Changes in plankton affect the entire marine ecosystem, as they form the main food for many marine species. A decrease or change in plankton types can cause wider ecosystem instability. Furthermore, global warming is increasing the frequency and intensity of marine storms, which can damage coastal habitats such as mangroves and seagrasses. These habitats are vital for maintaining the stability of marine ecosystems and as a refuge for many young species. This damage not only affects marine life but also threatens communities that depend on these ecosystems for livelihoods and protection from erosion. Rising sea levels, as a result of global warming, also threaten coastal ecosystems. Many islands and low-lying areas are at risk of sinking, which not only removes natural habitats but also displaces human communities. In addition, when the salinity of sea water increases due to flooding of fresh water, it will affect ecosystems including ponds and fresh water ecosystems. The impact of global warming is not only limited to life in the sea, but also touches social and economic aspects. The challenges facing the fishing and tourism industries are becoming increasingly complex, while the need for environmental protection is becoming urgent. Public education and awareness about the importance of protecting marine ecosystems is an important step for mitigating and adapting to these changes. Every element of the marine ecosystem is interconnected, and the impacts of global warming spread across the entire spectrum of life within it. Continuous research and concrete action need to be taken to overcome this problem, maintaining balance in the marine ecosystem for the survival of all the creatures that depend on it.
